CBSU’s mission is to promote a sense of unity and support for all Black students. We aim to unite, serve, and assist students through the Black Student Unions in the residence halls, as well as to uplift supporting organizations and the campus-wide Black community.

General assembly meetings

We hold general assembly meetings on zoom, every other Tuesday at 6pm! (Traditionally in FAR Oglesby lounge). We talk about current events in the Black community around the world, as well as here on campus.

Apply to be an executive board member for the Cotton Club Variety Show or Fashion Show

  • Positions include: Choreographers, Volunteer Chairs, Wardrobe Coordinators, Stage Producers, Sound Managers and more!

Audition to perform in the Cotton Club Variety or Fashion Show!

  • We are looking for models, singers, dancers, poets.

Join the Street Team! The street team consists of 10-12 students that publicize CBSU’s events on all social media outlets

  • Members will get priority seating at CBSU’s events

  • Free Admission to CBSU’s parties

  • Be involved in CBSU board meetings
